Robert started the business back in 1979. A plucky venture driven by youthful optimism and a pure-hearted passion for French wine. His love of Burgundy took Robert on a journey of discovery, revealing that the finest wines were to be found from growers whose profound knowledge of their vines and individual soils enabled the more talented to make wines of unsurpassed complexity and finesse.
45 years later and we are still working with the same families behind these wonderful expressions of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Applying the same principles Robert Rolls & Co now represent Domaines in all of France’s principal wine growing regions, some more obscure appellations and recent additions from Europe.
