Principe Dracula Busuioaca de Bohotin (BB)

Busuioacă de Bohotin (Basil of Bohotin or simply BB) is a variety planted in a small limited area in the northeast side of Romania. The uniqueness of this Romanian variety is that it gives birth to pure rose wine. Its wine-making style implies an extended maceration on the violet skin of the grape. BB produces a wide range of high-quality wines, from mostly sweet and medium-sweet to dry and sparkling, with a good level of acidity for a beautiful and surprising balance. The primary taste is rose petals and basil (where the name comes from), with shades of honey, strawberries, and wild forest strawberries. The medium-sweet and dry wine go well with light meals like chicken, turkey, or fish, slightly spicy and seasoned.
