Located in the heart of France, the Centre-Loire vineyard features a mosaic of terroirs, including limestone "Caillottes" or "Griottes", clay-limestone "Terres Blanches", sands and gravels, and flint or silex. With 56% of its surfaces engaged in environmental certification, Centre-Loire boasts eight PDOs - Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé, Menetou-Salon, Quincy, Reuilly, Coteaux du Giennois, Châteaumeillant, and Pouilly-sur-Loire - and two PGIs - Coteaux de Tannay and Côtes de la Charité -. Sauvignon Blanc makes up 80% of the production and Pinot Noir 15%. The remaining 5% are Gamay, Pinot Gris, Chasselas, Chardonnay, and Melon de Bourgogne. 700 winegrowers work on almost 6,000 hectares, producing 45 million bottles annually, 88% white wine, 7% red, and 5% rosé.
