Bodegas Riojanas, the historic and prestigious winery based in Cenicero, (Rioja Alta), was founded in 1890 by the Frías-Artacho and Carreras families. Over more than a century of winemaking, it has grown into one of Rioja’s iconic producers, skillfully combining deep tradition with modern techniques.
The partner wineries of Viore (in Rueda), Veiga Naum (in Rías Baixas) and Torreduero (in Toro) illustrate Riojanas’ broader strategy: leveraging its historic Rioja base while branching out into other key Spanish DOs to offer a more diversified portfolio. Torreduero brings in powerful, structured red wines from Toro; Viore addresses beautiful white verdejos and Veiga Naúm gives them credence in the Albariño-driven world of Rías Baixas.
