100% Viognier Brut Nature sparkling wine made by Méthode Ancestrale – where fermentation is stopped mid-way and wine kept on lees for 2-3 months. It is then bottled and the fermentation naturally continues, trapping the CO2 in the bottle. Following disgorgement, no expedition liqueur is added, resulting in this aromatic wine bursting with fresh notes of citrus, apricot and bergamot, with a balanced, elegant palate and a pearly light mousse.
From the oldest vines in the Joseph Mellot estate planted on the pebbly clay limestone soils or ‘caillottes’. This prestige cuvée is fermented and aged on it's fine lees for around 20 months in oak in the historic cellars. Sauvignon Blanc thrives in the flint rich soils of Sancerre, giving it its distinctive gun-flint flavours.

Exuberant and vivacious, hailing from south-facing vineyards planted in 1987 between 110m-300m. Water mines dotted around the site not only refresh the vines but provide the wine with its name. Sourced from just three tiny vineyard blocks comprising Omahu 1a and 1b soils of greywacke river gravel, silt and sand strewn in the wake of the 1867 Ngaruroro River flood. Infertile and heat reflective, they produce wines of great power and structure. This serious and accomplished blend truly gives the wines of that other much-vaunted gravelly region a run for their money. Rich aromas of black fruit and fragrant spicy oak dominate this sumptuous red wine. The palate is full-bodied with incredible concentration of supple, rich ripe fruit, smooth ripe tannins, beautifully integrated oak and great complexity.
Sourced from the Omahu Gravels and Twyford Gravels vineyards, situated in the heart of the acclaimed Gimblett Gravels grape growing district. Fragrant background spice, red berry and floral notes combine on a flavoursome, refreshing and finely textured palate. This perfumed and balanced wine will continue to develop over time and is best enjoyed with food.
