This independent Champagne House was founded in 1874 and has remained in the family for 5 generations. All their vineyards are Premier Cru located in the typical chalk soil of the Montagne de Reims. Only the first and best juice is used for all their cuvées. Their house cuvée is an equal blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Using over 20 years old reserved wines and aged for 3 years on its lees. Every year, the perpetual reserve is enriched with wines from the latest harvest, so the final blend offers more breadth, depth, substance and complexity. Delicate aromas of white flowers with notes of apple, pear and apricot. Seductive with a very fine mousse and brioche flavours on the palate.

Casa da Passarella wines are a landmark in the Dao region. Made from indigenous grape varieties, their wines stand out for their freshness and mineral character. The Somontes range is sourced from higher altitude vineyards situated in the Serra da Estrela. Made from indigenous grape varieties Malvasia Fina, Verdelho and Encruzado. Maceration and fermentation take place in temperature controlled stainless steel tank to keep the aromaticity. This wine stands out for its freshness and mineral character, elegance and citrus fruit flavours.

Róbert Gilvesy established his wine estate on the volcanic basalt/tufa and calcareous dolomite rich soil of Mount St Georges close to Lake Balaton. All wines are vegan and certified organic. Single vineyard-selected Furmint fermented and aged on the lees for 9 months in 500-litre oak barrels. A very mineral nose alongside white-fleshed fruit and citrus aromas. Complex flavours with notes of spice and a rich acidity. Long ageing potential.

The Domaine d’ Elise is a pocket sized estate of 13 ha which lies at Milly on the slopes above the Premier Cru vineyards of Cote de Lechet. Wines from Frederic Prain have a distinguishing characteristic as he harvests his grapes later than usual in order to get very ripe fruits. Yields are kept low to produce a wine that brings out all the traditional flavours of the region. Fresh citrus and mineral notes beautifully balanced by layers of warm rich fruit. Slightly creamy on the palate with apple and lime fruits and a refreshing acidity. A typical Chablis.

Pedro Ribeiro and his wife Catarina Vieira moved to Vidigueira, an area which benefits from an excellent micro-climate, to produce wines that are true to the historical traditions of Alentejo. Their wines are fermented in impermeable clay pots called Talha, where both wine and skin remain in contact for a much longer period then sealed by olive oil to prevent oxidisation. Made with Perrum, Roupeiro, Rabo de Ovelha and Manteudo. A ‘natural’ wine bottled unfiltered, with no temperature control, no addition or correction to the juice or the wine, and no stabilisation (potentially resulting in some harmless sediment in the bottle). The ‘Bizoe’ range is derived from the French word ‘Bisous’, meaning little kiss while Cuvée ‘Henrietta’ is named after his mum. Harvested in early morning in order to preserve the natural freshness of the grapes, the wine is then matured on it lees in oak barrels for seven months. Fresh tropical fruit and orange peel aromas. Delicate and round on the palate with toasty notes.

Multi-award winning winemaker Nico Grobler focuses on making wine with finesse, elegance and purity of fruit in Elgin Valley’s cool climate. Matured for 10 months in old barrels. Te Kano, meaning seed in Maori, is composed of four vineyards which all add something special to the fabric that makes up their award winning wines. Low yielding, delicately handled, and farmed with consideration, Te Kano’s wines highlight the very best of their vineyards and sub-regions. Elegant nose of ripe cherry, red berry, Christmas cake and spice alongside earthy notes of wild thyme. Complex and medium bodied with supple tannins and a good length.

The Burger and Morkel families released the first Roodekrantz wines in 2015. Committed to preserve ancient Certified Old Vine Heritage Vineyards, they work closely with their growers, encouraging respectful and sustainable vineyard practices. No new oak ensures the quality of the fruit and terroir shine through in every bottle. Sourced from vines planted in 1954. Matured for 10 months in old French oak barrels. Very perfumed with aromas of wild raspberry and strawberries with hints of rose petal and a touch of sour cherry. Medium-bodied with delicate and ripe tannins on the palate.

Isabelle Mangeart owns 8 hectares of vines nestled on hills near Montpellier. Certified organic since 2013, organic compost and no chemicals are used on the estate. Her wines are elegant and full of character, some being sourced from very old vines. 100% Cinsault sourced from 35 years old vineyard. Delicate nose of berry fruits with hints of pepper. Medium-bodied on the palate. Only 2500 bottle produced.

Cravant les Coteaux offers perfect conditions for growing Cabernet Franc, and biodynamic principles of viticulture are extensively used here. Domaine de Pallus wines reflect both the unique terroir and the contemporary style of the estate. Les Pensées de Pallus comes from the best vines of this terroir and has always been the finest cru among the wines of Chinon. Aged for 18 months. Complex with aromas of plum, cherry, blueberry, violet alongside herbal and mineral notes. Medium-bodied with a good tannic and a long finish.

This innovative and ambitious winery lies in the Campo de Borja region just to the South of Rioja and Navarra. After selecting the best of the wines from the local Cooperatives they make their own blend before maturing each wine in oak. The results achieved by this imaginative process are truly impressive. Sourced from vines over 50 years old producing small quantities of very concentrated fruit. Very ripe red fruits with some mineral tones and slightly roasted spices. The palate is broad, harmonious and structured, rich in nuances with a very long finish.

Owned by the same family for the past couple of centuries, Quinta da Silveira boasts 70 hectares of vineyards with the best varieties used for the production of Port and Douro DOC wines. Winemaker Rodrigo Martins enjoys using traditional methods including grapes crushed by feet and fermented in traditional open tanks (lagares) using only natural yeasts. This delicious Tawny port is crafted from tawny casks up to 70 years in age, showing a seductive nose of mixed nuts and dried fruit. It is beautifully rounded on the palate with a long elegant finish.
