The Swiss say that a winemaker is always judged by the quality of their Chasselas/Fendant and this one shows why Gilles Besse is considered one of Switzerland's top winemakers. Classic Chasselas Mineral, Fresh and with notes of cream and chamomile.

In the Valais Sylvaner/Silvaner is known as Johannisberg. This excellent example from Varone has a spicy quality and rich mouthfeel that suits Middle Eastern and Asian cuisine.

100% Roussanne - Fermented in 80% in oak and 20% in steel. Then matured for 10 months on lees with batonnage in small vessels. The second bottling from tank of this vintage which has resulted in a remarkable freshness. A rich and heady full bodied white wine that illuminates rich gastronomic cuisine.

A light and perfectly balanced sweet wine just 10.5% abv with the 152 g/L R/S perfectly balanced by the 7.5 g/L T/A from the cooler slopes of the Schafberg.

The most widely planted grape variety in the Alto Adige. This example is from 50 year old vines for added complexity. Aromas of pomegranate and red cherries with that signature dry ginger finish.

The most northern of the Beaujolais Cru, produced by dynamic, fifth generation female winemaker Celia Matray. This wine combines suppleness and finesse with the fieriness and elegance that have given the Cru its name.

Low intervention wine from husband and wife team Rudy and Verena Kiss. Fermented in oak and then matured for 12 months. A multi layered wine with a powerful bouquet, some fine smoke, lots of tertiary meaty, savoury notes followed by some dark spicy fruit. Shows the more animal side of St. Laurent. Perfect with autumn and winter game/red meats. LAST CHANCE! The 2012 was so brilliantly youthful we bought all the tanks, but now on the last pallets. 2018 will be the next vintage.

75 year old Gamay vines grown on blue granite. From the exceptional 2020 vintage ranked alongside 2009/2015 and 2018. A hot summer and mild winter, Matured in 215L oak pieces for 10 months, producing a well structures and powerful expression of Gamay with great ageing potential worthy of this vintage

Mamete Prevostini produces some of the finest wines in Valtellina. His signature is always the freshness that the alpine climate brings to this super warm viticultural area in the Sondrio valley. Sassella is one of the 5 CRU with DOCG designation. 100% Nebbiolo fermented in steel then aged in small oak barrels for 12 months and 10 months in bottle. Finely balanced tannins, acidity and structure. Very approachable even in its youth!

A crossing of Gamay and Reichensteiner producing one of Switzerland's most successful grape crossings! Now Switzerland's 4th most widely planted red grape variety. This is an oaked version which has aromas reminiscent of a Black Forest gateau in a glass, with dark chocolate, spicy and juicy dark cherries. Made by biodynamic third generation winemaker Catherine Cruchon.
