This wine originates from Fetească Neagră and Syrah grapes in Romania's Dealu Mare, renowned for red wines. Fetească Neagră, native to Moldova and Muntenia, thrives with careful tending. Late picking and consistent trimming yield excellent results, offering a bramble-fruited red with cherry hints, varying from earthy to cappuccino and vanilla flavors. In the compact Dealu Mare vineyards, a temperate continental climate shapes the grapes, boasting 2200 sunshine hours and over 4000 degrees of warmth annually. Crafted by acclaimed winemaker Aurelia Visinescu, this wine captures the variety and terroir. Fermentation in vertical stainless steel tanks with gentle cap irrigation produces a complex wine. It offers intense fruity aromas, ripe red fruit taste with vanilla and spice hints, well-integrated tannins, and a velvety finish. Ideal at 14-16°C, it pairs well with spicy foods, roast duck, turkey, smoked ham, chorizo, and beef burgers.
