Crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Feteascã Neagrã grapes in Romania's Dealu Mare, this wine reflects the nation's grape prowess. The compact 14,500-hectare Dealu Mare vineyards endure a temperate continental climate with extreme ranges. With 2200 sunshine hours annually, the grapes accumulate over 4000 degrees of warmth. Varieties are vinified separately in stainless steel vessels. Maturation occurs for 8 months, partly in stainless steel pots and partly in second-cycle Romanian oak barriques. The result is an intense ruby wine with spicy notes, balanced and harmonious, finishing persistently. Ideal at 16-18°C, it pairs well with red meat, venison, and aged cheese.
