Castellum Dracula MERLOT
Crafted solely from Merlot grapes in Romania's renowned Dealu Mare region, a red wine that embodies the area's rich winemaking heritage. Dealu Mare's compact vineyards, spanning about 14,500 hectares, experience a temperate continental climate marked by cold winters and hot summers. Boasting 2200 annual sunshine hours, these vineyards yield grapes with over 4000 degrees of warmth. The winemaking process involves meticulous manual harvesting, gentle destemming, and crushing. Alcoholic fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by controlled malolactic fermentation, and a 12-month maturation in stainless steel. The result is a purple-red wine with raspberry and cherry aromas, layered with barrel, coconut, and cigar smoke notes. The taste is balanced, complex, and explosive, leading to a long, fragrant aftertaste. Perfectly paired with grilled pork or lamb, it's recommended to be served at 13-15°C.
