When we were established in 1925, Britain was the largest seafaring nation in the world, Jackson Nugent Vintners supplied ships with not only wine, but many of their other provisions and stores.
Times have changed and some would say we live in more peaceful times, warships and merchant ships have been replaced with cruise liners and airliners. Jackson Nugent has evolved to become the leading (Independent) wine supplier to all sectors of the Travel and Duty Free Industries.
In 1998 we felt that quality, individuality and the uniqueness of many wine regions and countries was becoming too generic and branded. We made it our goal to seek out and represent Estates and Winemakers who shared our passion for:
· winemaking and the wine identity of their region
· commitment to the best possible quality at a given price point
· Innovation, open-mindedness and good service
From the early days with the excellent Casa Silva, we now represent nine outstanding producers and we enjoy great partnerships with the producers and the quality minded wine companies who share our goals and are working with the wines in the UK .
Our Agency distribution, internationally and domestically, is unique. In partnership with all our UK distributors, past, present and future, we strive to give the final customers who drink wines from our producers, a better quality and value wine than they could have hoped for.
